True Unity Comes Through the Holy Spirit

July 7, 2015 by Valerie

WORD FROM THE LORD

June 24, 2015

“Teach how the only way to have true unity is through My Spirit.  Only true, lasting unity comes through Me.  There can be a pretense of solidarity – a show of unity, if you will – in the world.  But that kind of solidarity wants its own way.  Eventually, there is a breakdown, a selfishness that comes through.  Worldly unity invites judgment and condemnation.  My unity invites love, forgiveness, and does not try to get its own way.

“Walk in the unity of My Spirit and watch Me move in power, love and true justice.”

Church without Walls

April 9, 2015 by Valerie

What does it mean to be a church without walls?

More importantly, what does it mean to be the church without walls?

Is it about doing outdoor services?

Or is it about breaking barriers between race, background, denominations, prejudices, our past and our futures?

This is a question that Aaron and Andrew Ministries is working through this year and into the future.

We have a burden to reach the individuals in our communities who need Jesus. We have a burden to make sure those individuals find the resources that they need to overcome the struggles and doubts they face about their lives and their faith.

We have a burden to see God work in each of us – the leaders and members of this ministry – to see God break down walls within our hearts. These walls that keep God from doing through us what He created us to do. These walls that create relational strain and hinder the Gospel.

Why else do you think we work so hard when it comes to the running and managing of the church? It’s our whole life. Regardless of whether we use management software from somewhere like Tithe.ly (https://get.tithe.ly/church-management) or go it alone, we want to unleash the burdens that the church has carried with it for so long in the most efficient way.

We want to see walls come down. Sure, we want to do church outside in the open where anybody can feel welcome. But more than that, we want to see the Lord remove walls between us and Him and and the walls between each of us.

Join us in praying that God begins destroying these walls.

How Walking in Love is Key to Keeping the Ten Commandments

July 25, 2014 by Valerie

Today the filled room at tenant association J2 apt. was full.

Everyone was excited about the revisiting of Moses (Marcus) and his teaching about the Ten Commandments.  He taught in a way that was right on yet doused it with some humor, and I was so proud of him.

We now have a few of the people for whom I have been praying attend, and I believe it’s because Marcus connects with them on a level I can’t.  I could look around and see the relationships God has given me the opportunity to build outside the home church environment come to fruition as Marcus shares his talents with them each time we meet.

After sharing the Ten Commandments, he then shared Jesus’ one great commandment.  I felt as though everyone there was beginning to see that when we walk a life of love, obeying the Ten Commandments is so much easier.

Celebrating the Life of Gertrude Troutman

June 20, 2014 by Valerie

Gertrude Troutman, a pillar of our ministry, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, June 12.  She graciously invited us into her home for our first home church group and always made everyone feel welcome.  Please pray for her family as they grieve the loss of their very special loved one.

It Is Finished

There’s not much more to say than this.

It is finished.

But we’re not finished.

He’s not done with us.

What He started when it was finished…

He’s still working that into our lives.

He’s still showing us and teaching us that what He accomplished…

…the thing He finished

The destruction of sin and death.

The taking on of all of our sin and all of our pain and suffering.

He’s still teaching us that it really happened.

May we give Him what He’s already taken and destroyed…

Our sin.

Our suffering.

Our unforgiveness.

Our hurt.

Our selfishness.

Our lack of faith.

Our fear.
